Author Bio:
Katherine Eddinger Smits grew up near Florida’s Weeki Wachee mermaid attraction, swimming in the springs and dreaming of transforming into a real siren.
When that fairy tale failed to come true, she earned a master’s degree in social work and spent a rewarding career helping veterans and their families.
Now retired, she has traded real-world service for supernatural storytelling, writing books where magic, mystery, and romance spill into everyday life.
An award-winning author, editor, and blogger, Katherine stays deeply rooted in the writing community. She has served as a Guide and Program Manager for the Romance Writers of America (RWA) Pen to Paper Program, chaired the RWA Unpublished Members Benefits Committee, and judged contests for the Florida Writers Association, among others.
